Shane Gillis drew considerable backlash for his recent Saturday Night Live monologue, during which he described going to the gym and observing that “women just dress like whores now.” The remarks drew rebuke from members of the Hollywood community and shade from at least one SNL cast member. Now, SNL UK has joined the fray, with Ania Magliano taking aim at Gillis during this weekend’s “Weekend Update” segment.
“A ride operator at Munich Oktoberfest was praised for giving out free cycling shorts to female riders,” Magliano began. “Wearing the gym shorts will protect women from being upskirted, but it does make them vulnerable to something much worse…”
Magliano also took a swipe at Gillis for his use of the F-word during his SNL hosting gig, joking, “Last week on SNL, comedian Shane Gillis also caused controversy by dropping the F-bomb. Oh, Shane, you’re not allowed to say that, you stupid fucking cunt.”
