Melody Morris fell victim to the Pharaoh’s Curse on Big Brother 28, making her the fifth member of the Jury. She had an emotional exit, receiving only a hug from Drew Campbell on the way out.
Melody laid low all season, aligning herself with Drew, Barrett Pfeiffer, and Mallory Auricio, forming the For the American People (FAP) alliance. She didn’t have a target on her back because she wasn’t winning anything.
She received the Lady of the Latrine punishment in the Time Capsule and also participated in the Adam and Eve one with Mallory. She was also known for pretending to talk to her mom on a fake phone and her hilarious Diary Room sessions.
However, the corporate game show host won the Blockbuster and the HOH competition during the night of the Double Eviction, securing herself in the top five. From there, Rick Devens won the HOH, and since Melody was up against her flirtmance Drew, and he won the Veto, she was evicted during a ceremony where those voting had to smash the artifact of the person they wanted out. Devens broke the tie after Drew picked Taylor Brown and Dee Valladares chose Melody.

What did it mean to you to be voted into the Timecapsule despite receiving a punishment?
Melody Morris: Getting voted into the BB Timecapsule was amazing! I was shocked to begin with. Big Brother is something I always dreamed about being on, and being voted to do something like that was even more of a dream come true. Even though I did get a punishment, which super sucks, it was so cool. I got to experience a punishment on Big Brother; not a lot of people can say that. I’m just happy that people liked me. I’m so grateful I even got to go into it.
How did it feel to finally win two comps on Double Eviction night after not winning anything all season?
The feelings of winning two comps back-to-back after not winning anything all season were absolutely amazing. Words cannot describe how happy I was. I genuinely felt like I was floating on a cloud. I knew that I could do it. I knew that I could win. Finally, doing it felt amazing. I guess lightning does strike twice.
Can you explain your decision for your renom choice? Did you want Yash or Dee out?
I renominated Yash [Patel] because he iced me out of the vote when it was Angela [Murray] and Dee, which clearly meant that he was working with the icons and Taylor, putting a bigger target on my back, with me, Drew, and Barrett as a solidified trio that they were going to target next.
He also lied to me about what his bribe covered, and he put me up on the block next to my two closest allies, and I could’ve gone home. He was also a huge competition threat, the biggest one at the time. Putting Yash up next to Dee was decided [that] because of those reasons. I thought that if Dee went home, I would be happy. If Yash went home, I would be happy. I just wanted to put up the biggest threats in the house, and I did that. I don’t regret Yash going home.
Drew was your closest ally. What made you stay loyal to him in spite of your concerns and his backstabbing?
I was definitely concerned about Drew multiple times throughout the game, but ultimately, he just kept staying. I wanted to be loyal to him because he was my closest ally. He never gave me a reason to want to go after him or anything like that. He didn’t put me up. He never voted me out.
Did he do a bunch of other things that I did not like in a way that did feel like betraying me? Absolutely. But I wanted to stay loyal to the people I had been working with, and that was my thought process there.
