A Month After A Hulu Documentary Series Made Waves, Heidi

The three-part series, released last month, tells a shocking tale of the lingerie brand — including accusations of harassment by company executives, allegations that the brand demanded unhealthy body ideals, and the ties between VS’s former CEO Les Wexner and Jeffrey Epstein.

Some former models for the brand — such as Frederique van der Wal and Lyndsey Scott — participated in the docuseries, as well as numerous high-ranking former VS employees.

Despite being an Angel for 11 years, Heidi declined to be a part of the series. That being said, her name does get brought up in the series — specifically because she reportedly wanted the “biggest wings” at the fashion shows.

“They asked me if I wanted to be part of it,” Heidi told Variety. “And I was like, ‘If you’re looking for a negative story, you’re barking up the wrong tree because I had the most wonderful time there.’”

Heidi did watch the first episode but said that “hardly anyone I knew was on that show.” Describing her experience as “the best time ever,” she continued, “I didn’t know who all of those people were.”

In regards to the allegations presented, she continued, “Hearing all these stories pop up, to me, is mind-blowing when they accuse different people of different things, and I’m like, ‘My gosh, did this really happen?’ I don’t know. So I was always waiting to get more insight, but…it never came. So I never continued watching it.”

Heidi previously addressed the company’s rebranding — which included ditching the Angels in favor of the “VS Collective” — last year by saying, “About time, is all I can say. … Things do need to change. They have been changing, but it’s been taking too long.”
