Whitmer Thomas, the comedian and musician, has announced a new EP. Can’t Believe You’re Happy Here is out March 25 via Hardly Art. It was produced by Jay Som’s Melina Duterte, and, today, he’s shared the new single “Trevor.” Zoe Donahoe and Adam Sputh directed the video for the song, which references his aspirations to “be a Trevor.” That involves listening to Joe Rogan, microdosing, and watching Fight Club. Watch the video below.

“In the past few years, I’ve met a handful of people coincidentally (or maybe not) named Trevor who all seemed a lot happier than me,” Thomas said in a statement. “It got me thinking about why and how I’ve become such a cynical bummer, and how much I wish I wasn’t.”

Thomas’ last album was 2020’s Songs From the Golden One, which served as the soundtrack to his HBO special (Whitmer Thomas: The Golden One). Jay Som recently shared a collaboration with Troye Sivan called “Trouble.”
