Imagine a world where women are in charge, men are expected to wear fancy lingerie for their testicles, and Sacha Baron Cohen has a chance with Rosamund Pike. That’s the set-up for Ladies First, the upcoming Netflix comedy starring Cohen as an advertising executive who gets bonked on the head and wakes up in an alternate reality where women enjoy the same dominance as men in our world. The new trailer includes a literal flood of gender-flipped stereotypes as Pike’s character goes from meek assistant to badass CEO, and Cohen struggles to fit in with this new society.
Based on the French film Je Ne Suis Pas Un Homme Facile, Ladies First also stars Charles Dance, Emily Mortimer, Tom Davis, Richard E. Grant, and Fiona Shaw. Directed by Thea Sharrock, the movie arrives on Netflix May 22nd. Check out the trailer below.
