Posthumous King Von Album Announced: Listen to New Song “Don’t

The estate of King Von has announced a new album from the late Chicago rapper: What It Means to Be King arrives March 4 (via Only the Family/Empire). Below, listen to a new single, “Don’t Play That,” featuring 21 Savage and produced by Kid Hazel.

King Von was killed in Atlanta in November 2020; he was 26 years old. One week before he died, Von released his debut album Welcome to O’Block. The rapper has been posthumously featured on several songs, including Lil Durk’s “Still Trappin’,” Tee Grizzley’s “Not Gone Play,” and PnB Rock’s “Rose Gold.” Several music videos have been shared since Von’s death, too, including “Wayne’s Story,” “Armed & Dangerous,” “Mine Too,” and “Demon.”
