The NFL has announced that Apple Music will be the new presenting sponsor for the Super Bowl halftime show. It’s a multi-year deal where Apple Music succeeds Pepsi, which ended its partnership with the NFL for the halftime show earlier this year after a decade of presenting the halftime show.

“We are proud to welcome Apple Music to the NFL family as our new partner for the iconic Super Bowl Halftime Show,” said Nana-Yaw Asamoah, senior vice president of Partner Strategy for the NFL. “We couldn’t think of a more appropriate partner for the world’s most-watched musical performance than Apple Music, a service that entertains, inspires, and motivates millions of people around the world through the intersection of music and technology.”

“We’re looking forward to even more epic performances next year and beyond with the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show,” said Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music and Beats.

Pepsi’s Halftime Show events were headlined by Beyoncé, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Justin Timberlake, Maroon 5, Shakira and Jennifer Lopez, the Weeknd, and, finally, this year’s Emmy-winning Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, and Kendrick Lamar event.
