Kesha has announced her fifth studio album: Gag Order is out May 19 via Kemosabe Records and RCA Records. Rick Rubin produced the project, which serves as Kesha’s follow-up to 2020’s High Road. The first two songs from the new album, “Fine Line” and “Eat the Acid,” are out this Friday, April 28.

All of Kesha’s studio albums to date have been co-released via RCA and Kemosabe, which was founded by producer Lukasz “Dr. Luke” Gottwald. Kesha and Dr. Luke remain entangled in a protracted legal battle. Kesha was unable to comment on her label contract or her legal case in a new interview with Rolling Stone She did, however, say, “I feel as if there has been an implied gag order for a very long time now.” Kesha added, “With my ongoing litigation hanging over my head, I have not been able to speak freely because I know everything I say is scrutinized.”
