Frankie Goes to Hollywood will reunite to perform at the Big Eurovision Welcome on May 7, opening a week of Eurovision festivities in the band’s Liverpool hometown. The pop legends’ original lineup is reforming for the first time since splitting in 1987, following a soft reunion in 2013 in which neither singer Holly Johnson nor guitarist Brian Nash took part. Plans for the show have not been revealed, but it will not be a full set, BBC News reports.

Fellow Liverpudlians Atomic Kitten, the Lightning Seeds, and the Real Thing are also set to perform at the event. Liverpool is hosting Eurovision 2023 because last year’s winners, Ukraine, could not pick up the mantle due to the ongoing Russian invasion.
