After seeing the image, I immediately clicked over to the brand’s website, desperate to get a pair of my own, knowing full well they’d become a hero summer item I’d wear all season long. To my disappointment, the staple had already sold out in several colours.
Thankfully, Arket knows a thing or two about keeping its customers happy, as this year, the label has restocked the popular item in black, light beige and striped blue. Though they are certainly an expensive-looking staple, the shorts retail for a very affordable £35, and given their versatility, I have already thought of about 35 ways I’d like to wear them—for starters, with a matching linen shirt, a racer tank and my Superga sneakers like Lucy Williams’s outfit.
