Will ITZY’s Lia Make a Comeback After Hiatus?

K-pop star ITZY Lia hinted at her comeback with her latest update amid the ongoing hiatus. The update has stirred a frenzy among fans, prompting many to speculate that the star will be seen with the group soon.

For the unversed, ITZY star Lia took a hiatus from her K-pop career in September 2023. Her music agency, JYP Entertainment, announced that the 23-year-old songstress will take a break to focus on her health and recovery.

Since then, the group has returned to the music scenes on January 8, 2024, with the studio album Born To Be. The group held multiple K-pop concerts as part of their World Tour 2024 without Lia.

While Lia was not physically present, the group members did not forget to mention her and ensure fans that she was a part of the group, albeit on a temporary hiatus. On their June 23 Newark concert, Chaeryeong promised fans, saying, “If we can come back, we will bring Lia.”

ITZY Lia has recently returned to the Fans app, a community where she can interact with followers directly. The K-pop icon posted a bunch of photos from her daily life, including a snap of her carrying her dog, Bella. In another picture, she poses wearing a cap against a blurry backdrop.

Along with the ‘life update’ pictures, Lia wrote, “Fighting for today, Bella and I are cheering for you.” The post sparked hopes among fans for a possible return of Lia in the upcoming ITZY activities.

ITZY has quite a few concerts left for their 2024 World Tour. The group will travel to Taiwan for the Born To Be Tour this month. Dates and cities of ITZY’s upcoming concerts include:

• July 20, 2024: Taipei Arena, Taipei, Taiwan
• August 3, 2024: SM Mall of Asia Arena, Manila, Philippines
• August 10, 2024: AsiaWorld–Arena, Hong Kong, China

With Lia’s comeback on the Fans app, fans believe a professional return is also days away. Meanwhile, JYP has not officially responded about the confirmed date of Lia’s comeback.
