The Recruit Season 2: Everything We Know So Far

As a frequent featured actor on many of Netflix’s original movies, it was only a matter of time until the handsome Noah Centineo landed his own series.

The streamer’s leading man has found a home and fans in the American spy-adventure series The Recruit.

Audiences have long waited to see what else is in store for the fledgling lawyer turned active agent for the CIA.

Has The Recruit Been Renewed for Season 2?

It was a long wait without any news about the series’ future, but luckily, showrunner Alexi Hawley confirmed a second season for the series in January 2023.

Things were a little up in the air with production halted during the WGA and SAG-AFTRA Strike, but the answer is a resounding yes.

Netflix picked up the series for another season, much to fans’ excitement everywhere!

What Is The Recruit About?

Fledgling lawyer Owen Hendricks has just started at the CIA when his life is turned upside down by an Eastern European asset who threatens extortion if she is not freed from prison.

As her long-term relationship with the CIA is revealed, he becomes entangled in convoluted international politics.

Hendricks negotiates with the asset and finds himself at odds with menacing individuals and groups, risking his life as he tries to fulfill his duties.

After such a long wait, the only things on fans’ minds are Max’s survival, Owen’s escape, and what will happen with Max’s possible daughter, Karolina.

It was such an intense ending for audiences to wait, not knowing if they would get a resolution with a series renewal.

Thankfully, showrunner Alexi Howley spoke to Collider about where the story will likely go from here, “I know things about where I would want to take it and where I’d want to go with it.

I mean, obviously, you hope for success, but as you could see with that ending, I didn’t plan for failure because I feel like in this day and age, you just have to be bold, you have to be dramatic, to the expense of everything else.

And you can’t worry about season two, or season three, or beyond.

How Many Episodes Will The Recruit Season 2 Have?

There is no official episode count at the moment, and Netflix is notorious for reducing episode numbers to fit in the budget.

We can only speculate if Season 2 will have eight like the first season or be cut down, but with so many characters, new and returning, it’s hard to imagine fitting them all into less than eight.

Who Stars In The Recruit Season 2?

The Recruit will hopefully bring the whole team back for more international hijinks, but to be safe, we listed the most likely returning cast and characters.
