Paramount Home Entertainment is bringing Captain Burnham and the rest of the U.S.S. Discovery crew to fans’ humble abode with a Star Trek: Discovery Blu-ray and DVD set of the show’s fifth and final season, as well as a complete series box set containing some exciting special features. It is scheduled for release on August 27.
Both Star Trek: Discovery: The Final Season and Star Trek: Discovery: The Complete Series sets, which will be released on August 27, will include special features such as featurettes and never-before-seen footage from the show’s five-season journey.
Star Trek: Discovery Blu-ray and DVD special features
The four-disc Star Trek: Discovery: The Final Season collection will include nearly 2 hours of bonus materials, which include featurettes, audio commentary, and more. The Complete Series set, on the other hand, features all 65 episodes of the series with more than 15 hours of special features. It will also include a bonus disc showcasing the journey of the cast and crew across five seasons.

What is Star Trek: Discovery about?
The fifth and final season of the Star Trek series, which arrived on Paramount+ on April 4, saw the return of Sonequa Martin-Green as Captain Michael Burnham, Doug Jones as Saru, Anthony Rapp as Paul Stamets, Mary Wiseman as Sylvia Tilly, Wilson Cruz as Dr. Hugh Culber, David Ajala as Cleveland “Book” Booker, Blu del Barrio as Adira, and Callum Keith Rennie as Rayner, with appearances from recurring guest stars Elias Toufexis as L’ak and Eve Harlow as Moll.
Per the official synopsis, Star Trek: Discovery “follows the voyages of Starfleet on their missions to discover new worlds and new life forms. The fifth and final season will find Captain Burnham and the crew of the U.S.S. Discovery uncovering a mystery that will send them on an epic adventure across the galaxy to find an ancient power whose very existence has been deliberately hidden for centuries. But there are others on the hunt as well… dangerous foes who are desperate to claim the prize for themselves and will stop at nothing to get it.”
