Scoot McNairy joins Kyle Meredith to talk about his new film, Blood for Dust, a gritty crime drama in which he plays a traveling salesman being lured down a dark and dangerous path. Listen above, or wherever you get your podcasts.
The Narcos: Mexico actor explains how he approached the everyman character he portrays in Blood for Dust, leaning into the character’s inherent desperation and focusing on moments of stillness. Helping McNairy lock into such a role was his scene partner and costar Kit Harington, who represents the film’s primary corrupting force.
McNairy also makes sure to give the rest of the cast their flowers as well, shouting out fellow actors Josh Lucas, Stephen Dorff, and Ethan Suplee. After diving into all of the wonderful people he got to work with for Blood for Dust, he then looks towards his future collaborations, like James McAvoy for Speak No Evil or Amy Adams for Nightbitch.
