Scheana Shay Claims ‘Rude’ Candace Cameron Bure ‘Wasn’t Very Nice’

They say you should never meet your heroes… or maybe just not Candace Cameron Bure!

During Friday’s episode of the Scheananigans podcast, Scheana Shay recalled meeting the 48-year-old actress for the first time during the “really early days” of Vanderpump Rules. Just like other celebs, her encounter with Candace did not leave her feeling as good as gold afterward! The reality star told listeners:

“The first time I met Candace Cameron, she wasn’t very nice.”

During sometime around possibly Season 2 of the Bravo show, the Make It or Break It alum was hosting an event with Lisa Vanderpump’s daughter Pandora. Scheana said she was “so excited to meet” Candace after “growing up watching Full House.” However, her excitement soon turned into disappointment. She claimed the former talk show host “was so dismissive … like [Shay] wasn’t cool enough or big enough to be hanging out with” her. In fact, their interaction left such a bad taste in her mouth that Scheana “didn’t want to watch Fuller House” when Candace reprised her role of D.J. Tanner for the Netflix reboot — all “because of that one experience!” Jeez! She added:

“I’ve met so many celebrities and actors in my life and hardly any have stood out to me.”

Candace was one of the ones who did and not in a good way, though! Another not-so-nice celeb who sticks out in her mind? Amanda Bynes! Scheana claimed she was “rude” to her at the Teen Choice Awards. However, Amanda gets a pass in the Bravolebrity’s eyes! She noted that the Easy A star deserved “all the grace in the world” after what she’s gone through. Other than those two, Scheana said many of the celebrities she’s run into are great, including Kim Kardashian:

“[Even] Kim freaking Kardashian is so nice and humble. So many huge, A-list celebrities are so nice.”

Wow…

It seems Candace has a bit of a mean streak! But that shouldn’t surprise anyone! This isn’t the first time someone has called her out for being rude! Back in 2022, JoJo Siwa accused Candace of being the “rudest” celebrity she ever met after the Hallmark star snubbed the Dance Moms alum when she asked her for a picture at the Fuller House premiere. Candace eventually apologized for her actions. However, they ended up at odds again over Candace’s “rude and hurtful” comments about how the “Great American Family will keep traditional marriage at the core” — meaning they refuse to tell LGBTQ+ stories in their romance stories. WTF. And BTW, she has continued with her openly anti-LGBTQ+ statements.

So Scheana is definitely not the only one not a fan of Candace anymore! Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments!
