Most Wanted is a weekly series in which one editor, staffer, or influencer shares their top 30 must-haves or current wish-list items.
I’m going to Paris this week for the first time ever, and it’s safe to say that I’m freaking out. When I’m both excited and overwhelmed by a trip, the thing that helps me to focus when my brain is all over the place is making a detailed packing list early on so that I can figure out what I can bring that I already own, and what I might need to order. I’ve been thinking about what I’d wear in Paris basically my whole life, so deciding what to actually bring for my 3.5 days there hasn’t been easy.
I’ve finally narrowed things down (which is good, considering I leave in three days), and thought I’d share with you the items I’m definitely bringing with me. Below are thirty fashion and beauty items that made the cut. Keep scrolling to shop them too, and wish me luck getting everything into my carry-on.
Fashion Items
These are the perfect summer jeans. They’re light-weight and comfortable, and the wash is just right.
DÔEN
Paulette Tee in Nantucket Stripe
Is it cliche to wear stripes in Paris? I don’t care, it’s a great shirt.
Matteau
Relaxed Everyday Skirt
These are a lot of full skirts out there but believe me when I say that this one’s the best.
Polo Ralph Lauren
Logo Cotton Cap
This might give me away as an American, but that’s okay.
I’m not sure of everything I’ll be doing in Paris yet, but I figure this will come in handy.
Toteme
Double-Breasted Cotton Jacket
Since it’s still a bit chilly in Paris, I’m packing a couple of jackets, this one include.
Reformation
Heather Block Heeled Mules
A low-heel mule is a must for evening activities.
Everlane
The Dream Kick Flare Pant
These pants are so comfortable that I’m considering wearing them on the plane.
DMY Studios
Olsen Gradient Brown Sunglasses
I’ve noticed that these rectangular metal-framed sunglasses have been rising in popularity, so I had to try them for myself. This pair is particularly flattering.
Madewell
Rib Off the Shoulder Top
This chic little top is on its way to me as we speak.
Prada
Triangle Logo Driving Loafers
I’m actually packing a pair of Miu Miu driving loafers but these are very lovely as well.
Perhaps I don’t need two pairs of black pants for a three-day trip to Paris, but I’ve decided that I do.
My favorite T-shirts go everywhere with me, including Paris.
Sophie Buhai
Reversible Silver Hoop Earrings
Where I go, these earrings go.
Naghedi
St Barths Large Tote
Every long flight requires a chic carry-on tote.
Beauty Products
Huda Beauty
Blush Filter Soft Glow Liquid Blush
This is my new favorite blush, and it’s perfect for travel. It lasts all day, the colors are dreamy and flattering for a variety of skin tones, and the compact size is ideal.
Summer Fridays
Jet Lag Overnight Eye Serum for Fine Lines & Wrinkles With Gentle Retinol Blend
This eye cream is magic. It makes me look well-rested (which I never am), and it’s the first retinol eye cream I’ve tried that doesn’t make my under-eye area flaky.
Dior
Forever Glow Maximizer Longwear Liquid Highlighter
This highlighter isn’t the smallest in size, but it’s the prettiest, most natural-looking one I’ve ever used, so I think it’s worth the space.
Phlur
Soft Spot – Travel Size
Phlur’s Soft Spot is my latest fragrance obsession. Like most Phlur fragrances, it’s difficult to describe, but I think it’ll be just right for Paris.
Saltair
Lip Oil Balm With Coconut Oil & Shea Butter | Saltair
I can’t get over the fact that these lip oil balms are only $9. They stay on far longer than most, and each color is sheer (but not too sheer) and beautiful. If you order just one, make it Acai.
Chantecaille
Just Skin Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
This new tinted moisturizer is going to be perfect for the plane. I’d call it medium coverage for a tinted moisturizer, which is ideal in my opinion. It makes my skin look flawless.
Sania’s Brow Bar
Mechanical Brow Pencil
Ever since I was recommended this brow pencil by Sania herself, I’ve thrown all of my other brow pencils in the trash. It looks incredibly natural and is the perfect combination of waxy and powdery.
Youth To The People
Superfood Skin Drip Smooth + Glow Barrier Serum With Peptides + Niacinamide
This is a great serum for the summer, and I’ve been wearing it under my SPF every day. It’s just slightly glowy but isn’t greasy—a tough code to crack..
Lancôme
Idôle Tint Long Wear Liquid Eyeliner & Eyeshadow in Desert Sand
This eyeshadow is stunning for both day and night, and it truly doesn’t budge or crease.
Saie
Dew Bronze Soft-Focus Effortless Liquid Bronzer
I was not a bronzer girl until I tried this Saie one. It actually makes me look tan, which is a miracle.
Nars
Mini Radiant Creamy Concealer
I don’t remember the last time I took a trip without this concealer. It’s the only thing that doesn’t crease.
Chanel
Rouge Coco Baume Hydrating Conditioning Lip Balm
This is my go-to lip balm for long flights. The formula is great and putting it on makes me happy.
Lancôme
Mini Lash Idôle Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara
This mascara is so dramatic and pretty—and it never clumps.
Benefit Cosmetics
Splashtint Moisturizing Dewy Lip Tint
I’m always surprised by how bulky lip products often are. This one is nice and tiny and the glossy formula actually stays put. My favorite shade is Summer Fling.
Merit
Brush No. 1 Tapered Blending Brush
When it comes to blending foundation, cream blush, and bronzer, this is the only brush I’ll use.
