Oscar winner Gene Hackman, his wife, Betsy Arakawa, and their dog were found dead inside their Santa Fe, New Mexico, home on Wednesday, February 26, according to multiple news reports. Hackman was 95. His wife was 63.
The Santa Fe New Mexican was first to report the news on Thursday, February 27, citing confirmation from Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza. Us Weekly has contacted the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office for comment.
The sheriff’s office said in a statement to Sky News: “We do not believe foul play was a factor in their deaths however, exact cause of death has not been determined at this time.”
