As you probably know, Chelsea Clinton has recently been out promoting her new Gutsy series that she hosts with her mom, Hillary Clinton.
From Apple TV+, it’s an eight-part docuseries that follows the two “as they celebrate the gutsy women who inspire them.”
Well, this week, an interview with Entertainment Weekly came out where the former first daughter also talked about some of the music that gets her going.
Admitting she’s a major hip-hop head, Chelsea said, “I listen to a lot of Jay-Z. I listen to a lot of old-school Beyoncé. I really, maybe this is dating me, but I really like the stuff from like the mid ’90s to like the late 2000s.”
She also used to be a big fan of Kanye West, but she’s decided to no longer support his music because of his treatment of ex-wife Kim Kardashian.
“I’ve had to let go of Kanye, because it’s just, I can’t. Just the way that he has treated Kim Kardashian, the way that he has talked about women is unconscionable to me,” Chelsea said. “That was some of my favorite running music. And I have removed it from my music library.”
Kim and Kanye have, of course, been going through a divorce since February 2021 that has only grown messier over time. Kanye notably struggled to move on from the relationship, even launching multiple public attacks on her then-new boyfriend, Pete Davidson.
Now, he’s lost a fan in Chelsea over that behavior. To read more about what she had to say on that topic, click here.
