Raedio, the audio division of Issa Rae’s Hoorae Media, has announced a multi-year deal with Def Jam Recordings. Def Jam will now help sign, market, and distribute Raedio artists, including publishing, music supervision, music library, podcasts, digital content and events deals.
Rae launched Raedio in 2019 and quickly signed a deal with Atlantic Records, releasing music by the Los Angeles–based Haitian American singer TeaMarrr and, later, Yung Baby Tate. In January 2022, Raedio signed a development deal with Audible to create audio content.
Issa Rae is among the stars of Greta Gerwig’s Barbie, which hits theaters later this month.
