Wayne Osmond passes away at 73, claims report

Various outlets have reported that Wayne Osmond passed away after suffering a massive stroke on January 1, 2025, in a hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was 73 years old. He is survived by his wife Kathlyn, their three daughters, two sons, and several grandchildren.

In a statement, the Osmond family confirmed the news. “Wayne Osmond, beloved husband and father, passed away peacefully last night surrounded by his loving wife and five children,” reads the statement. “His legacy of faith, music, love, and laughter have influenced the lives of many people around the world. Originally from Ogden, Utah, Wayne was the fourth oldest among the Osmond siblings. He, Alan, Merrill, and Jay began their musical career as part of a barbershop quartet in the late ’50s. The group became known as The Osmonds as other siblings began to join. They commemorated their 50th anniversary in 2007. Eventually, Alan and later Wayne retired from music because of concerns related to their health. The Osmonds had reportedly sold over 77 million records.
