AMC Networks announced that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon and The Walking Dead: Dead City will each be getting a Season 2.
During San Diego Comic-Con International, the network revealed that both spin-off shows were renewed for another season, confirming that The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 2 and The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 2 will be happening. The news comes ahead of the premiere of Dead City’s season finale this Sunday, July 23, while Daryl Dixon Season 1’s debut is still set for September 10.
What are the two The Walking Dead spin-offs about?
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon revolves around Norman Reedus’ beloved Walking Dead character as he finds himself far away from home. Joining Reedus in the series are Harry Potter alum Clémence Poésy, Chernobyl actor Adam Nagaitis, Anne Charrier, Eriq Ebouaney, Laika Blanc Francard, Romain Levi, newcomer Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, and more.
The Walking Dead: Dead City stars Lauren Cohan and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. The spin-off finds the unlikely pair of Maggie and Negan navigating a post-apocalyptic Manhattan long ago cut off from the mainland. It comes after the original series finished its 11-season run over the course of 177 episodes.
