A new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 deleted scene reveals what happened to the High Evolutionary following the events of the film.
What happened to the High Evolutionary?
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the High Evolutionary — played by Chukwudi Iwuji — seemingly dies after having the real parts of his face clawed off by Rocket Raccoon and is left stranded as his ship explodes. However, a new deleted scene released by IGN confirms that the character not only survived but was then placed under arrest at the end of the film.
In the clip, the High Evolutionary can be seen trying to make parts of his face stick back to where they were, as Rocket Raccoon closes the door on his cell. The High Evolutionary is then surrounded by lasers. The clip continues with Sean Gunn’s Kraglin then seen giving out drinks to people before telling Adam Warlock that the name “Adam” is not good for a hero.
