Sony announced a handful of big games for April 2023’s PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium lineup, but it also revealed that a rather large title is leaving the middle tier of the service quite soon. Insomniac Games’ 2018 Spider-Man game is the most high-profile exit and is being removed from PlayStation Plus Extra on May 16 at 10 a.m. PT.
As noted in the announcement post, Spider-Man and its Game of the Year edition are both being taken off the service in the middle of May before the next batch of games cycles through. Spider-Man: Miles Morales, however, is not listed, so it is safe for now. Spider-Man is also the first big first-party exit that PlayStation Plus Extra has seen in its first year.
Spider-Man is just one in a list of many, though. May is going to see more cuts than usual, and other highlights include Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered and the Resident Evil remake. The full list is:
