House of the Dragon Episode 6 brought many new faces into the spotlight, including eight children.

The latest installment of HBO’s fan-favorite series featured a ten-year time skip into King Viserys’ life. Aegon, Aemond, and Helaena Targaryen

Aegon is Viserys’ eldest son, the first one the king had with Alicent Hightower. His mother always wished to see her son sitting on the Iron throne, so she’s scheming to alienate Rhaenyra from his father, hoping that Viserys would name Aegon as his successor. He is riding a gold dragon called Sunfyre. In the series, Aegon is portrayed by David Tennant’s son, Ty. He will go down in the history books as Aegon II Targaryen, also known as Aegon the Elder.

Aemond (Leo Ashton) is Aegon’s younger brother. Unlike his siblings, he’s not a dragon rider when the series introduces him. The little prince is very upset about not having a dragon of his own, which allows people to manipulate him into doing reckless things. Aegon and Aemond have a sister called Helaena (Evie Allen), who is younger than Aegon but older than Aemond. She rode a dragon called Dreamfyre.

In the books, Viserys and Alicent had another boy, Daeron, born shortly after Rhaenyra’s eldest son, Jacaerys. Considering that the show didn’t even mention it, apparently, he has been axed from the series.

Jacaerys, Lucerys, and Joffrey Velaryon

House of the Dragon Episode 6 featured the first appearance of the Velaryon kids in Jacaerys (Leo Hart), Lucerys (Harvey Sadler), and the newly-born prince. While their mother is undoubtedly Rhaenyra, their paternity has been questioned several times. According to many hints — including their peculiar hair color –, the Velaryons might not be Laenor’s children, but Harwin Strong might have fathered them. The accusation led to a long and intricate civil war known as “The Dance of the Dragons,” where many Targaryen died.

Baela and Rhaena Targaryen

Part of the latest House of the Dragon installment also focused on Daemon Targaryen’s children, the twin sisters Baela (Shani Smethurst) and Rhaena (Eva Ossei-Gerning). Daemon only showed affection for Rhaena, mostly ignoring the dragon-less Baela.
