Jennifer Lopez Shares Details About Her Christmas With Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck just celebrated their first Christmas together as a married couple and J.Lo shared the intimate details of their holiday season On The J.Lo newsletter with all of her fans.

“I’ve been hunkering down at home (and loving it) since I wrapped my last movie, just getting ready for the holidays!” J.Lo wrote. She added that she themed her song around hummingbirds to honor the track on her new album This Is Me…Now named after the bird.

“To me, hummingbirds are messengers of love,“ she explained. “They’re also the fastest bird but they always have time to stop, eat something sweet and smell the roses. I identify with them, but more than anything, whenever I see one, I feel like it’s a sign from God that everything is going to be OK.”

She continued, “So, I decided this year that the hummingbird would be a perfect theme. We have blended families, doubled the people, doubled the fun, doubled the love, doubled the presents and tripled the chaos!!”

The blended family includes her 14-year-old twins Emme and Max, and Affleck’s children Violet, 17, Seraphina, 13, and Samuel, 10.

She decorated her tree with a hummingbird theme as well and says she chose her bright blue and red dress because it made her think of the jeweled feathers of the species.

“It’s a Gucci dress that I’ve had in my closet which I bought a year ago and I’ve been waiting for the perfect occasion to wear,” J.Lo explained. “I thought it was perfect for our Hummingbird Christmas Party.”

The Marry Me star added that she wanted the theme to remind everyone “that everything done in love and with love will always be OK.”
