Like it or not, miniskirts are a trend this season. While Miu Miu’s belt-style micro iterations might be slightly (read: completely) terrifying for us mere mortals, they can actually be more wearable than the catwalk leads us all to believe. As a midi-skirt fan, I’m surprised by how swayed I’ve been by the revival of the mini, and I haven’t stopped wearing them all summer. But I find them easier to wear with a baggier top half: a shirt, a fine knit if it’s cool out or an oversized blazer. When it comes to fit, I always size up with miniskirts to make sure they’re not super tight or rise up too high. (Of course, this comes down to personal preference.)
