News of legendary singer Tina Turner’s death at 83 inspired the world to share tributes to her and her musical legacy. Beyoncé was among them, sharing how Turner shaped her and paying tribute to the real-life relationship they have.

Beyoncé shared a photo of her and Turner bowing together from their joint performance at the 2008 Grammys on her site. She wrote beneath it:

My beloved queen. I love you endlessly. I’m so grateful for your inspiration, and all the ways you have paved the way. You are strength and resilience. You are the epitome of power and passion. We are all so fortunate to have witnessed your kindness and beautiful spirit that will forever remain. Thank you for all you have done.

Turner’s rep shared on Wednesday that the singer passed away “peacefully after a long illness in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland,” per Reuters.

Turner’s team shared a statement on her social media accounts announcing the news and reminding fans that her music lives on as a gift to all. They wrote: “It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tina Turner. With her music and her boundless passion for life, she enchanted millions of fans around the world and inspired the stars of tomorrow. Today we say goodbye to a dear friend who leaves us all her greatest work: her music. All our heartfelt compassion goes out to her family. Tina, we will miss you dearly.”
