The nation is gearing up for the highly anticipated Vice Presidential debate, where Democratic candidate Tim Walz and Republican candidate J.D. Vance will take the stage. This debate is a crucial moment as one of these candidates will join either Kamala Harris or Donald Trump in the race for the White House in the upcoming November election.

In addition to the debate, CBS will provide extensive coverage, including pre-debate analysis starting at 4:00 pm EST, and post-debate commentary starting at 10:30 pm EST. Viewers can follow the event through various platforms, as the network has shared on social media.

When is the 2024 Election?

The presidential election is set for Tuesday, November 5. The winner of the election will take office in 2025, following the conclusion of President Joe Biden’s term.

President Biden, now 81, announced in July 2024 that he would not seek re-election and endorsed his Vice President, Kamala Harris, as the Democratic nominee. “I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term,” he shared on social media.
