Raayan ending spoilers

At the climax of Raayan, the tension peaks as Raayan faces off against his brother Muthu and the gangster Sethu in a gripping battle. Driven by betrayal and revenge, Raayan kills Sethu and ultimately is forced to confront and kill his own brother Muthu, who had turned against him. The film concludes with Raayan and his sister Durga deciding to leave their violent past behind. They move to a new city, hoping to build a peaceful life.

Who killed Durai?

Raayan began with a black-and-white scene where two young brothers eagerly awaited the birth of their sibling, while their eldest brother, Raayan, hoped for a sister. Their hopes were fulfilled when a baby girl was born, whom Raayan lovingly named Durga. Soon after, their parents left for the city but mysteriously did not return for several days. Worried and vulnerable, Raayan sought help from the village priest, taking along his younger brothers and infant sister. However, the priest, harboring sinister intentions, sold Durga to traffickers, leading Raayan to take drastic action and kill him.

Fleeing their village, Raayan and his siblings stowed away in a truck bound for Chennai. Upon arrival, they met Shekhar, the truck driver, who kindly offered Raayan a job and a place for them to live. Years passed, and Raayan now ran a fast-food shop, while his brother Manickam was in college. Their other brother, Muthu, spent his days drifting, drinking, and getting into fights, and Durga took care of the household. The plot thickened with the introduction of two powerful gangsters, Durai and Sethu, who had maintained a tenuous peace in their territory for years.

A new Commissioner arrived in Chennai with a mission to dismantle the Mafia. He stoked the flames of rivalry between Durai and Sethu by staging an attack on Sethu, making it appear as though Durai was responsible. Furious, Sethu retaliated by ordering the assassination of Durai’s son. Unbeknownst to them, Muthu was present when Sethu’s men carried out the attack, leading to Durai’s son being killed. Durai, mistakenly believing Muthu was the killer, confronted Raayan and demanded that he take Muthu’s life by morning. In a stunning turn of events, Raayan and his brothers came together to take down Durai and his entire gang in a single night.

Did Raayan kill Muthu & Manickam?

The tension reached its peak when Sethu, a powerful gangster, discovered that Raayan was responsible for killing Durai. Seeing Raayan’s potential but also viewing him as a threat, Sethu offered Raayan a position in his gang, which Raayan flatly refused. Angered by the rejection, Sethu devised a plan to eliminate Raayan. As Sethu plotted Raayan’s demise, Raayan simultaneously planned to eliminate Sethu.

The night before Durga’s wedding, Raayan infiltrated Sethu’s mansion with the intent to kill him. However, he discovered that Durga had been kidnapped and was being held there. As they attempted to escape, they were ambushed by Sethu’s goons, and in a shocking twist, Raayan’s own brothers, Muthu and Manickam, were revealed to be involved in the betrayal. In a tragic and intense moment, Muthu and Manickam stabbed Raayan, leaving him severely wounded. Durga managed to escape and, with the help of Shekhar, rushed Raayan to a hospital.

As Raayan recovered, Durga and Shekhar uncovered the full extent of the betrayal by Muthu and Manickam. In a tragic turn of events, Sethu murdered Shekhar, and Durga mistakenly believed that Manickam was behind the killing.

In the climax ending of Raayan, the Commissioner orchestrated a truce between Raayan and Sethu, hoping to bring peace to the city. However, this truce was a facade, leading to a grand celebration where Durga, driven by vengeance, killed Manickam to avenge Shekhar’s death and betrayal. Meanwhile, Raayan confronted Sethu and Muthu in a fierce battle. He quickly killed Sethu but hesitated when it came to Muthu. Despite his hesitation, Muthu’s relentless attacks forced Raayan to defend himself, ultimately resulting in Muthu’s death.

In the final scenes, Raayan, along with Durga and Muthu’s newborn child, embarked on a new journey.
