The Strongest Magician in Demon Lord’s Army Was a Human episode 6 begins with Ike’s conversation with the Demon Lord about his refusal to take up the offered position in the Third Corps. Unmasked, he insists he has a lot to learn from Cefiro and eventually create a world where demons and humans can coexist.

What happened in The Strongest Magician in Demon Lord’s Army Was a Human episode 6?

The episode shows Ike standing on the edge of a cliff, staring at Ivalias. He discusses using the town’s soil and climate to execute the Norfolk system, that is, the townsfolk can produce multiple crops without letting the fields rest. Ike seems confident about fulfilling his mission, which appears about halfway done with Ivalias becoming a town where humans and demons have fraternized.

Changing the tone, the episode shifts to the human army slaughtering demons in war, which Jiron later reports to the Vice Commander, Ike. He reports that the Alliance of Kings defeated the Second Corps while taking Alesta. Ike sadly recalls how the Alliance of Kings has defeated the Demon Lord’s army thrice in the past due to being greater in numbers.

He also says that Ivalias must be the Alliance’s next target since they want to take Arsenam from demons. As such, Ike approaches another demon to construct firearms with alchemy. However, she says it is impossible since the arms break after firing a bullet.

The alchemist demon suggests they make the firearms’ parts with metal and wood, one by one, and mass-produce them. She also suggests they seek dwarves’ help since they are highly skilled with metalwork. Furthermore, Ike realizes the dwarves can help them if they approach the Dwarf King.

Unfortunately, the Dwarf King has been held captive in the Ismuth Kingdom after the dwarves’ tragic war with humans. The humans were brutal to the dwarves, uprooted their kingdom, and captured their king after he refused to help humans. Consequently, the Dwarf King’s son and his kingdom had to scatter due to homelessness.

Lilith and Jiron arrive at the Ismuth prison to rescue the Dwarf King. Lilith casts a spell to sedate the king after his questions annoy him, and then Jiron carries him on his shoulder. Due to Lilith and Jiron’s playful negligence, the human army discovers them. Ike obstructs the army’s path as they follow Jiron and Lilith.

After the Dwarf King, Gunther, wakes up, Ike requests his help with the firearms. Gunther responds that it will require complex work, but he can do it. However, he refuses to help demons or humans since all they want is to use the dwarves. Even after Ike explains his desire for them to coexist peacefully, Gunther remains undeterred.

Ike understands his apprehension and shows him around Ivalias, where humans and demons peacefully work together. Although Gunther is surprised, he refuses to be enslaved given the tragic state of his people. Hence, Ike offers to bring peace back by requesting the Demon Lord to reestablish the dwarf kingdom.

As such, Ike takes Gunther to the room where his son, Batson, and the rest of the people have been rescued. They explain how Ike gave them food and a place to live. Seeing the enthusiasm of his people, Gunther agrees to help Ike with his ambition.

The episode ends with the human army preparing to attack Ivalias and retake Arsenum. Their battalion with twelve thousand soldiers greatly exceeds Ivalias’ five hundred troops, giving them the confidence to win the war.
