UPDATE: Archewell Foundation spoke out to address the delinquency claim, with a spokesperson stating that the charity investigated the allegations and determined that it “remains fully compliant and in good standing,” per a May 14 statement.
“Due payments were made promptly and in accordance with the IRS’s processes and procedures,” the statement continued. “Furthermore, all necessary paperwork had been filed by the Foundation without error or wrongdoing.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom further confirmed that the Sussexes are in full compliance, adding at a May 14 press conference, “There was a technical paperwork issue that was wildly over hyped.”

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Archewell Foundation has been ordered to stop raising or spending money by the state officials amid a delinquency notice.
The charity, which the couple founded in 2020, was recently declared delinquent by California’s Registry of Charities and Fundraisers for “failing to submit required annual report(s) and/or renewal fees,” according to documents obtained by E! News May 13.
