Selena Gomez Gave a Highly Relatable Dating Update on TikTok

A month after dating rumors between Selena Gomez and the Chainsmokers’ Drew Taggart blossomed, Gomez used her TikTok to give a cheeky and definitive update on her relationship status: She is single and still looking for someone truly exceptional. She lip-synced to audio that said, “I hate it when girls are like, ‘Oh my gosh, my crush doesn’t even know that I exist.’ Girl, my crush doesn’t even exist!” In her caption, she wrote, “Still out here lookin for him lol.” Relatable:

Gomez tried to shut down speculation she and Taggart were dating in January when she posted then deleted an Instagram Story saying she was single. The post contained a photo of a man looking down with the text “I like being alone too much,” written on it. She added in her own text box, “#iamsingle.”

She and Taggart were photographed two days later holding hands after having dinner together. Us Weekly reported in early February that the two were still together. “Selena and Drew have an amazing connection,” the insider says. “They’re so happy to have gone with their guts and jumped in to give this a try.”

There hasn’t been any big updates or sightings of them in the last month.

Gomez spoke with her friend Raquelle Stevens on Stevens’ show Giving Back Generation about how she does want a long-term romantic partner. When she shared her favorite love language was physical touch and Stevens joked that Gomez wouldn’t even let her hug her sometimes, Gomez said with a laugh, “I love you to the moon back. I want a husband. I want that kind of physical touch.

She also said of her hopes for the future, “I hope to be married and to be a mom. Eventually, I’m going to be tired of all this so I’m probably just going to devote most of my life to philanthropy before I peace out. Just keeping it real.”
